If you want a slimmer handguard, the MK14 is the better option. I prefer the slimmer profile more. The MK8 has 45 degree slots and the MK14 does not. If you want 45 degree slots, the MK8 is the answer. For that matter, I think I like just about anything Bill comes up with.
